The Workshop is organized into two days. The first is dedicated to the issues and problems of Geomatics in light of the organizational and evolutionary context of the international reality, with particular regard to the university situation, the effects of the reforms, the possibilities of action to improve future scenarios of research and education. Interventions are planned by representatives of institutions and scientific and cultural organizations. The second day focuses on the many aspects (theoretical and practical) of Geomatics research.
We are pleased to invite you to submit an abstract in English of the work you intend to present in the second day of the workshop. In case of its acceptance, you will be asked to send a full paper to the conference (max 6 pages). The Scientific Committee reserves the right to accept and allocate the works to the oral or poster presentation. The authors of the works accepted and presented to the workshop, both in oral and poster mode, will be able to submit the extended paper to a review process for publication in a special issue of the scientific journal "Applied Geomatics”. According to the Italian official documents, the disciplined scientific contents concern the acquisition, return, analysis and management of metric or thematic data relating to the surface of the Earth, or portions of it, including the urban environment, infrastructures and architectural heritage, identified by their spatial location and qualified by detection accuracy.
